LG 65UB980V is connected to ONKYO NR636 Receiver through HDMI2(ARC) port. (OUT Main)
Both Receiver and TV is configured by manual.

The TV receives the picture via antenna, but the sound doesn’t make it to the receiver. 

The cable works perfectly and is with ARC supported.

Have anyone had the same problem or any ideas what could be the problem?

We already have feedback from usern for HDMI ARC problems with the LG UB980 series. We are investigating the cause. Until a new update appears I would ask you to switch to an optical audio cable.

The TV and NR636 get firmware update and NO SOLUTION!
I belive the problem is with ONKYO nr636.

Hello rai60,

in individual cases it may be that CEC/ARC does not work or only with restrictions. If you are change the settings we recommend you to unplug all HDMI connected devices.

Sometimes its helpfull to perform a reset of the receiver and the television.

If ARC is still not working as desired please connect a digital cable for audio transmission. This is still the most effective and stable way. Of course, we are working parallel on a solution to this problem, if we can influence it. Thank you for specifying your TV model, it is very helpful.
